  2. Acceptance of Terms – By accessing or using Patriots Insurance's services — including our website at patriotsins.com, scheduling tools, intake forms, or consultations — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
  3. About Patriots Insurance – Patriots Insurance is an independent, multi-line insurance agency located at 100 Broad St, Oxford, NC 27565. 4. Services Offered – Patriots Insurance offers consultation, placement, and service support for the following lines of insurance and financial products, where permitted by law: Life Insurance (Term, Whole Life, Indexed Universal Life); Health Insurance (Individual, Family, ACA Marketplace Plans); Medicare Supplements, Medicare Advantage, and Part D Plans; Annuities (Fixed, Fixed Indexed); Property & Casualty Insurance (Auto, Home, Commercial); Federal Employee Benefits Consulting (FEGLI, FEHB, TSP Rollovers); and Group Benefits. We act as an independent agent and may represent multiple carriers. All coverage is subject to carrier underwriting approval.
  5. User Responsibilities – You are responsible for providing complete, truthful, and accurate information on all applications and forms. You agree to notify us promptly of any changes in your personal information, coverage needs, or life circumstances that may affect your insurance. You agree to review all policy documents upon receipt and notify us of any discrepancies. Misrepresentation on an insurance application may result in denial of a claim or policy rescission by the carrier.
  6. Agency-Billed Premiums & Payments – In certain limited circumstances, an insurance carrier may require that premiums be collected by the agency and remitted to the carrier on the insured's behalf ("agency-billed" policies). When this occurs, Patriots Insurance will collect the required premium and transmit it to the carrier. Patriots Insurance does not retain these funds as income and does not mark up premium amounts. All agency-billed transactions are governed by our Refund Policy, available at www.patriotsins.com/refund. Agency billing is infrequent and will always be disclosed to the client at the time of application.
  7. No Legal or Financial Advice – The information and consultations provided by Patriots Insurance are for general educational and informational purposes only. Nothing in our communications, website, or consultations constitutes legal, tax, or financial advice. We encourage you to consult a qualified attorney, CPA, or financial advisor for advice specific to your individual circumstances.
  8. Appointments & Consultations – All consultations and appointments are scheduled exclusively through our booking system at patriotsins.com. Appointments are subject to availability. We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel appointments with reasonable notice. Consultations are provided free of charge. We are compensated by insurance carriers through commissions when a policy is placed. This compensation does not affect the objectivity of our recommendations.
  9. Medicare Marketing Compliance – Patriots Insurance follows all CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) marketing guidelines for Medicare-related products. A Scope of Appointment (SOA) form is required prior to discussing Medicare Advantage and/or Medicare Prescription Drug Plans, except as otherwise permitted under applicable CMS rules. The CMS 48-hour SOA requirement is scheduled to be eliminated effective October 1, 2026 under the CY2027 Final Rule.
  10. Annuities & Lifetime Income – Guaranteed lifetime income from annuity products may vary by contract, carrier, premium amount, and applicable state law. Annuity products are not FDIC-insured, are not bank deposits, and are not guaranteed by any federal government agency. All annuity illustrations are hypothetical and not a guarantee of future performance. Surrender charges and other restrictions may apply. Please review your contract carefully.
  11. Privacy & Data – Patriots Insurance collects personal information necessary to provide insurance services, including name, address, date of birth, Social Security number, health information, and financial data where required. We treat all client information with strict confidentiality and do not sell or share your personal information except as required to place and service your coverage, comply with applicable law, or with your explicit consent. Standard messaging and data rates may apply. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by contacting us at mike@patriotsins.com.
  13. Limitation of Liability – To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Patriots Insurance and its agents, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services. This includes, without limitation, carrier decisions regarding coverage or claims, delays in placement, or errors resulting from inaccurate information provided by the client.
  14. Indemnification – You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Patriots Insurance and its agents, officers, and employees from any claims, damages, or legal fees arising from your use of our services, your violation of these Terms, or your provision of inaccurate information in connection with an insurance application.
  15. Termination – We may suspend or terminate your access to our services at any time without notice for violations of these Terms or to protect the integrity of our services and our clients.
  16. Governing Law – These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
  17. Dispute Resolution – Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or our services shall first be submitted to good-faith mediation in Granville County, North Carolina. If mediation is unsuccessful, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association rules.
